2019 Art Exhibition
The Pyrenees Arts Council and the Rotary Club of Beaufort, together with their major sponsor, Beaufort Community Financial Services—Bendigo Bank, will present the 14th Pyrenees Art Exhibition from the 8th to the 10th June, 2019 at the Shire Hall, Lawrence Street, Beaufort.
In 2018, 430 paintings were hung with over 100 artists from interstate, state-wide and the local Pyrenees area providing works in artistic styles from traditional to contemporary.
Funds raised from this Exhibition go towards Rotary’s commitment to ridding the world of Polio and their local priority of providing programs and scholarships for our young people, and the Art Council’s support of local artists via the Art Trax Gallery along with their auspicing of a diverse range of art related activities throughout the Pyrenees Shire.
A major focus of the Pyrenees Art Exhibition is to provide a financial opportunity for local groups and businesses. The Beaufort Girl Guides provide the Devonshire Teas throughout the weekend and the Beaufort Liliana and CWA groups cater for the delicious supper on Opening Night and many businesses provide services to the patrons who visit Beaufort over the weekend, making this a truly local community event.
Junior Art and Senior and Junior Photography Exhibitions along with the Pop-Up Second-hand Book Sale all add to the overall art experience. There is something for all to enjoy at prices that will fit everyone’s budget.
